What Plasnewydd Care can offerOUR HOMES
As the coronavirus continues to spread across the country, I am writing to reassure you that we will continue to do all that we can to ensure that the health and well-being of your family member remains our top priority.
Across Plas Newydd Care Ltd, we have been following all national and local guidance given to minimise the risk presented and we will continue to review all our operational practices and arrangements. Contingency plans have been developed and will be implemented as the situation changes over the coming weeks and months.
The involvement you have in your family member’s lives is essential, and we do not want to do anything that will cause unnecessary distress at this difficult time. There may however, need to be changes in the way that we are able to support people as the risk increases significantly.
I hope that you will appreciate that these are taking place with the intention of protecting the health and well-being of all the individuals that we support, and the staff teams that care for them.
We will ensure that you are given local updates on all changes implemented and the home managers will be able to answer any immediate questions as our intention is to ensure that we respond and keep families informed and updated.
The anxiety the coronavirus is causing is understandably high and it’s important that we work together to manage this, particularly with your family member’s health in mind.
This will mean we are closed to all non-essential visitors. As part of our contingency planning for the future potential circumstances, please could you speak to your local manager regarding contact using the following methods; You could like to explore the potential of communicating with your family member using technology (e.g. FaceTime, Skype) as visits to services are restricted in accordance with the national guidance, and our safety measures. Our homes have Facebook pages should you wish to use Facetime.
For all future updates, please let us know how you would prefer to be contacted by phone or email (firstname.lastname@example.org).
We anticipate that things will change rapidly over the coming days and weeks, and it is therefore important that we work together in the best interests of your family members.
Thank you, best wishes to you all, take extra care and stay well.
